07 Nov Work in Progress Week 1
Hello Dear Readers!
I thought of connecting with your through a small Work in progress post. There is a lot that we all aspire to do in a week. As a professional, as a writer, as a mom and as a fitness enthusist, there is so much to accomplish in a week.
I started blogging in 2007 when there were two platforms blogspot and wordpress. The idea of connecting with people with some jottings was thrilling. The journey of blogging has shifted from a very nice and soothing piece of write up to highly informational websites.
The 5 AM Mommy is a place where you will find both.

The need to write it all down:
We as humans thrive on highly informational websites. As a writer I wanted to strike a balance between both. We all are work in progress and there has to be a place where it is all documented. We usually fall back and say, who will read? and who is interested in what you are doing?. But what if someone is very low today and needs the assurance that your writing offers.
Your progress or your struggle may offer a tremendous source of inspiration to the reader.
That is the biggest take away.
Mundane details, mundane updates may not matter today but they would be of greatest treasure in the years to come.
Work in progress is more about the journey and not the destination. Doing the work is in our hands, we should not anticipate the results ( I don’t say this, Krishna has told in Bhagwadgita) 🙂
We all have 24 hours in our hands, but it is upto us to make the best use of it.
Do we USE the 24 hours to LIVE the best or we just LIVE 24 hours to USE it, is our option.
Social Interaction sans the social media:
Humans by nature are social animals. We love to be connected but with the recent overload of social media are we judiciously using the tools that are available? In some book I read that technology is neutral. It is upon us how we make use of it.
When was the last time that you went out with your friend for a casual coffee conversation? When was the last time you connected with someone over the phone and chatted for hours to catch up? It does not happen now a day because of shallow ” likes”, and ” hi”, “Hello”, “Good Mornings” on whatsapp and similar messengers.
Connecting with someone on deeper level with every conversation is important. ‘
These were some of the things that I was pondering on in the last week.
On that note…..
Areas that need to be worked on:
As of now there is work in progress on the below areas:
- Walking 10k steps a day
- Strength Training
- Clean Eating
- Digital Minimalism
- Time Management
What was your week like? I would love to know…. Please comment below and alternatively you can always get in touch with me on the The 5 AM Mommy’s instagram page.
